Terms of Sale
Draft — pending legal review. This page was drafted as a starting point and has not been checked by a lawyer. Replace every [FILL IN] marker with your organisation’s exact details, and have the finished text reviewed before relying on it.
Last updated: 15 September 2026.
These Terms of Sale apply to the purchase of a BioStrategy Atlas licence (“Licence”) from [FILL IN: full legal name of seller, e.g. “World Bioeconomy Association ry”], business ID [FILL IN Y-tunnus], registered address [FILL IN address], Finland (“we”, “us”). By completing checkout you agree to these Terms of Sale.
1. What you are buying
A BioStrategy Atlas Licence is a digital subscription that gives your organisation access to full country profiles, evidence notes, analytical category filtering and the complete country database on the BioStrategy Atlas platform (bioatlas.bioeconomyassociation.org), for the licence tier selected at checkout (Start ups / SME’s / Institutes, NGO’s, Associations, Clusters / Large Enterprise, Government organisations).
2. Price and payment
Prices are shown in euros (€) exclusive of tax. VAT is added for customers in the EU, based on the applicable local rate; EU business customers who provide a valid VAT number are not charged EU VAT, under the reverse-charge mechanism. Outside the EU, tax is added only where locally required; where no such requirement applies, no tax is added. The applicable tax is calculated automatically and shown at checkout before you confirm payment. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
3. Recurring billing and automatic renewal
The Licence is billed annually and renews automatically for successive one-year periods at the then-current price for your tier, charged to the payment method on file, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
You can cancel automatic renewal at any time from your account (https://bioatlas.bioeconomyassociation.org/membership-account/) or by contacting us. Cancelling stops the next renewal charge; it does not refund the period you have already paid for, except as described in Section 5.
4. Access and delivery
Access is granted digitally, immediately after payment is confirmed. No physical goods are shipped.
5. Right of withdrawal / refunds
[FILL IN: state your refund policy. If any purchasers are EU consumers, note that under the EU Consumer Rights Directive a 14-day withdrawal right normally applies to online purchases, but can be waived for digital content once download/access has started with the customer’s express consent — confirm how this is handled at your checkout. If all purchasers are organisations acting in a business capacity, consumer withdrawal rights typically do not apply; confirm this with a lawyer before stating it here.]
6. Cancellation for non-payment
If a renewal payment fails, we (via Stripe) will attempt to retry the charge. If payment is not received within [FILL IN: e.g. 14] days, access may be suspended until payment is made or the Licence is cancelled.
7. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of [FILL IN, e.g. Finland], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [FILL IN: dispute resolution / competent court, and for consumer purchasers, reference to the applicable Online Dispute Resolution / consumer ombudsman.]
